Ben Ammerman joined Call & Jensen in April 2010. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ammerman practiced at a local municipal law firm specializing in general litigation, land use and state and local regulatory law. From 2005 to 2008 Mr. Ammerman served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Navy where he successfully defended federal crimes in several bench and jury trials and provided expert advice and negotiations on criminal defense matters. He served briefly as the Navy's Senior Defense Counsel for the Pacific Northwest.
Mr. Ammerman is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Ammerman received his B.A. in Political Science with Departmental Honors from the University of Southern California in 1997 and graduated Cum Laude from the University of San Diego School of Law where he was elected to the Order of the Coif upon graduation. Mr. Ammerman was awarded the Owen Stark Heriot Award for the outstanding scholastic performance by a veteran or current member of the. Armed Forces.
