Aaron L. Renfro has represented local, national, and multi-national companies at all levels of business and civil litigation. Since joining Call & Jensen in 2008, Mr. Renfro has represented and consulted with clients in intellectual property matters, including patent, copyright, trademark, and trade dress cases; in employment litigation, including federal and state discrimination claims, wage and hour class actions, wrongful termination, and ERISA claims; in product liability class actions; in real estate matters; and in a wide variety of general business litigation and complex commercial disputes. Mr. Renfro has enjoyed success in both motion practice and trial practice. As second-chair, Mr. Renfro successfully defended an 8 million dollar civil rights claim before a jury in Los Angeles Federal Court, receiving a unanimous verdict from an 8 person jury. Mr. Renfro was a valedictorian finalist at Brigham Young University where he received his B.A. in Political Science and minored in Business Management. While at BYU, he published “Discretionary Power and Normative Decision-Making in the Elian Gonzalez Case” in the BYU Pre-law Review. Prior to law school, Mr. Renfro spent two years working in the United States Congress. In his capacity as Policy Analyst, he advised a United States Congressman on immigration-related policy. He used his fluency in Spanish to develop and lead the Congressman’s Hispanic Advisory Committee, and as a Caseworker, he assisted constituents in solving complex bureaucratic issues with various federal agencies. In 2007, Mr. Renfro earned his Juris Doctorate degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU where he served as a Senior Editor for the Law Review. During law school, Mr. Renfro served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Bruce S. Jenkins, United States District Court Judge, and worked as a Research Assistant for the esteemed Stefan Talmon, a prominent International Legal Scholar at Oxford University in England. Also, during law school, Mr. Renfro was selected by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as a legal extern in his Office of Legal Affairs. He also worked for the White House, Office of Presidential Advance, where he assisted in planning and executing events for the President of the United States. Mr. Renfro is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts throughout California.
