Rebecca I. Makitalo

Rebecca Makitalo represents a wide range of clients including media companies, entertainers, influencers, producers, directors, and writers involved in all facets of entertainment and media litigation, including film, television, music, and online social media. 

Rebecca has extensive experience litigating all aspects of intellectual property law, including trademark, trade dress, domain name, false advertising, unfair competition, trade secret, copyright, and patent cases in both federal and state courts, at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Her practice also focuses on brand protection and enforcement, domestic and international trademark selection and searches, trademark and patent prosecution and enforcement, as well as advising clients on intellectual property issues associated with user generated content and social media marketing.
