For a fourth consecutive year, Aaron Renfro has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine – a distinction recognizing the top two-and-a-half percent of attorneys under age 40 nationwide.
Mr. Renfro is a Shareholder with Call & Jensen. He represents local, national, and multi-national companies and guides them through complex civil litigation in both federal and state courts. His clients entrust him with a wide variety of cases, including all matters of intellectual property – patent, copyright, and trademark litigation – complex commercial disputes, false advertising claims, real property disputes, employment litigation, class actions, and a variety of other general business litigation. His accomplishments include multi-million dollar defense verdicts, multiple summary judgments in federal court, and voluntary dismissals against his clients.
Apart from litigation, Mr. Renfro consults with companies – from startups to major corporations – on intellectual property prosecution and enforcement, brand protection, licensing, contracts, government regulation, social media and internet laws, digital marketing, e-commerce, employment issues, real estate, and other day-to-day legal issues. Mr. Renfro is known for developing common-sense and cost-effective solutions to complex legal issues that align with the business objectives of his clients.
Mr. Renfro’s industry experience includes apparel, technology, software, sports and action sports, nutrition and supplements, real estate, food and beverage, and consumer products.
Mr. Renfro earned his Juris Doctorate from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU in 2007 where he was a Senior Editor of BYU Law Review. During law school, Mr. Renfro served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Bruce Jenkins of the United States District Court. He was selected to work in Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Office of Legal Affairs and served as a Research Assistant to renowned professor of International Law, Dr. Stefan Talmon, at Oxford University. Also beginning in law school, Mr. Renfro worked for the White House, Office of Presidential Advance, where he assisted in planning and executing events for the President of the United States.
Prior to law school, Mr. Renfro was a valedictorian finalist at Brigham Young University. He also spent two years working in the United States Congress where he worked on a myriad of public policy and legal issues ranging from immigration to military affairs and served as a liaison between federal agencies and constituents.
