Aside from FedEx, Mireya worked in-house at Instacart, and she is well-versed on legal issues presented by the gig economy and freelance service providers/independent contractors.

Mireya received her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, she served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She later clerked at the District of Columbia Superior Court. Mireya graduated with high honors from the University of California, Riverside where she studied Political Science and Spanish.

Mireya volunteers for a number of projects, including serving since 2013 as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for and mentor to two foster children in San Joaquin County.
